The USDA ARS Madison Location is comprised of Five Research Units (Cell Wall Biology and Utilization, Cereal Crops, Dairy Forage, Environmentally Integrated Dairy Management, and Vegetable Crops) that each perform a myriad of agricultural research activities. The performance of these activities results in the generation of diversified chemical and biological wastes of varying quantities and toxicities. Wastes may contain - pyrophoric, explosive, reactive, or toxic substances and compressed gases. Some of the chemicals are dangerous due to their sensitivity to shock, friction, or pressure; others are reactive or unstable for a variety of reasons. In pursuance of this research, the facilities have accumulated commercial grade chemicals and containerized lab waste requiring lab packing. This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns. The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 562112 The small business size standard is $47.0M This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside.
