Synopsis/Presolicitation notice: THIS SYNOPSIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) intends to issue a sole source Purchase Order to SAE, International (Unique Entity Identifier: SLEWWJ8FMZM6, Cage Code: 0U583). The Purchase Order is for NHTSA to support two annual events: (1) SAE International / NHTSA Government / Industry (G/I) meeting, and (2) the Joint SAE International / NHTSA Cybersecurity Workshop (Cyber Workshop). NHTSA is to provide audio-visual equipment for the conference and workshop and general support to the Cyber Workshop. The conference is jointly supported by Department of Transportation (DOT), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and Department of Energy (DOE). The SAE, International Government/NHTSA Cybersecurity Workshop (2027 Government Industry Annual Meeting) is an annual conference (to be held January 19-21, 2027) is designed to assemble significant numbers of government policy and regulatory makers with auto industry representatives to discuss the effect of government actions on future vehicle design. The annual conference provides a neutral forum that shares information with the legislative and regulatory bodies on technical matters prior to drafting legislation or regulations for safety, emission control, and energy conservation. The annual Cybersecurity Workshop is co-hosted by SAE International and NHTSA. Both organizations were involved in the workshop planning. Contract Type NHTSA intends to award a firm-fixed-price Purchase Order to support SAE International / NHTSA Government / Industry (G/I) meeting, and the Joint SAE International / NHTSA Cybersecurity Workshop (Cyber Workshop). The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code: 541820 � Public Relations Agencies $19 million Product Service Code (PSC): R708 SUPPORT- MANAGEMENT: PUBLIC RELATIONS THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETTITIVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under RFO FAR 6.103-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Interested firms should identify their capability to provide the product/service/information described above. The written response must include detailed information relating to the specific data being requested. Expressions of interest without sufficient detail to permit evaluation of one�s ability to provide the requested information will not be considered. All responsible sources may submit a response which, if timely received, must be considered by the agency. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals nor is a Request-for-Proposal solicitation document currently available. A determination by the Government not to compete this action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive acquisition. In the absence of responses from interested firms demonstrating their capability, NHTSA intends to award a purchase order to SAE International, Incorporated on a noncompetitive basis for the 2027 Government Industry Annual Meeting as described. Responses must be received by the listed procuring office with ten (10) days from the date of publication of this notice. GENERAL INFORMATION.
