Opportunity description

Stored from SAM.gov public data

EPA Region 8 intends to award a firm-fixed price purchase order on a single-source basis to Awareness Technology, Inc., Palm City, FL under RFO 12.102(a) for one new Awareness Technology ChemWell 2910 automated ELISA analyzer with OEM installation and training, a one-year on-site service contract, and a two-year extended warranty (EW-2910), delivered FOB destination to the EPA Region 8 Laboratory, Lakewood, CO 80225. This is not a request for quotations; no solicitation will be issued. The laboratory has run EPA Method 546 cyanotoxin analyses on a Chem Well-platform analyzer since 2016 using ABRAXIS ELISA kits. Market research identified no other source able to furnish a new ChemWell 2910 with manufacturer performed installation, service, and warranty. A different platform would require re-validation estimated at six months and approximately $20,000 in test kits. Firms that can furnish a NEW ChemWell 2910 with Awareness Technology performed or authorized installation, service, and extended warranty may email a capability statement to Schlenker.Ryan@epa.gov by 4:00 PM Eastern, September 24, 2026, identifying the firms UEI and its relationship to Awareness Technology, Inc. Responses proposing a different instrument will not be considered. The decision whether to compete this requirement is solely at the Governments discretion. EPA will not pay for information received.

GOVBIDFIT SCREENING LENS

What deserves attention before you spend bid time

Decision support

These screening signals are generated from the public notice fields stored for this specific opportunity. They are not eligibility findings or predictions; they are prompts for a faster, more disciplined review of the official solicitation.

Pre-solicitation stage

This is a pre-solicitation signal. Use it to prepare, verify likely eligibility and watch for the formal solicitation or amendments before committing proposal effort.

Near-term deadline

The stored deadline is within ten days. Build an internal submission deadline and verify whether questions, site visits, registrations or approvals are due earlier.

No socioeconomic restriction recorded

The current feed does not show a program-specific set-aside restriction. That does not remove other eligibility, responsibility, registration or solicitation-specific requirements.

Classification signal

NAICS 334516 · PSC 6640 is the recorded classification. Use it as a screening clue, then compare the actual scope and deliverables rather than treating the code alone as proof of fit.

Official description available
