Opportunity description

Stored from SAM.gov public data

Replacement of flooring at the NOAA Barrow Observatory in Utqia?vik, AK. Read the attached solicitation for details. Wage Determination AK20260001 added through Amendment 1. Attachment 5 - Bathroom Dimensions added through Amendment 2. Bathroom dimensions are approximately 12'x7'. Summary of the damage: Under Building: A cracked p trap in the floor drain was the cause. The P trap primer dripped into the cracked trap for an unknown amount of time. The vapor barrier on the bottom of the building held the water from the trap primer and allowed it to spread to an area of at least 8x12, under the building but probably more. Likely not more than 20'x20'. When removed the insulation in this area was soaked and frozen about 1.5 up from the bottom. When the soffits were opened to inspect the issue it was discovered that the flooding extended into the bays beyond where the P trap repair was to be made. Plumbing repairs were made to the p trap. Inside Building: The ? subfloor is warped around the toilet and floor drain from flooding, sheet vinyl flooring is uneven. 1 ? subfloor is good. Vinyl sheets are about 12x6, warping is right on the seam of the vinyl sheets. Warping has improved as things have dried and the room has been used, but slight deflection is noticable in bathroom vinyl.
