This contract is being procured in accordance with the Selection of Architect-Engineers statute (40 U.S.C. 1101-1104) as implemented in RFO part 36. Firms will be selected for negotiation based on demonstrated competence and qualifications for the required work. The Marine Design Center (MDC) is the Army Corps of Engineers National Center of Expertise for Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. The MDC requires assistance with vessel design and analysis services for inland and coastal vessels. It is intended to award ONE (1) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, having a total capacity of $20,000,000. The average task order value of work is estimated to be approximately $500,000 with an estimated maximum value of $2,000,000. The guaranteed minimum for the contract term is $10,000 and will be satisfied by the simultaneous award of a task order with the base contract. The contract term will be for a five (5) year ordering period, estimated to start in Quarter 2 of FY27 and end in Quarter 3 of FY32. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541330, Engineering Services (Exception 4 - Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture) with a Small Business size standard of $47,000,000. The expected Product Service Code (PSC) is C216 - Architect and Engineering - General: Marine Engineering.
