Justification for Single Source Johnson Controls (JCI) is uniquely qualified and is the only known source capable of fulfilling this requirement because the rusted coils are part of an existing JCI / York Air Handling Unit (AHU) or Chiller. Replacing them with third-party, non-OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) coils introduces a high risk of improper alignment, sizing mismatches, and compromised structural integrity. The existing air handling infrastructure relies on proprietary dimensions and specific engineering design thresholds unique to Johnson Controls. Utilizing an aftermarket coil would modify the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) configuration, altering the precise static pressure drop, air velocity profiles, and thermal performance parameters engineered by JCI. The vendor possesses proprietary rights, data software, or manufacturing drawings essential to completing the work.
