Opportunity description

Stored from SAM.gov public data

SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory is operated by Stanford University for the Department of Energy. As a management and operating contractor, subcontracts awarded by the Laboratory are not Federal procurements, and are not directly subject to the Federal Acquisition Regulations in 48 CFR. Nonetheless, certain Federal laws, Executive Orders, and regulations may affect our DOE approved purchasing system, as required by statute, regulation, or contract terms and conditions. AMENDMENT 01 The following addendum is issued for Request for Quotation: SLAC_368659_Supermicro_1U_Rack-mount_Server_Assemblies. This amendment provides answers to supplier questions, clarifies the technical requirements, identifies the applicable terms and conditions, and extends the quotation due date. This amendment must be acknowledged. Failure to acknowledge all amendments may make a proposal non-responsive. Suppliers shall confirm whether their previously submitted quotation remains unchanged. If this amendment changes the quotation, submit a revised quotation by the amended due date. All other terms and conditions of the Request for Quotation remain unchanged. Supplier Questions and SLAC Responses 1. Which network option does SLAC require: the referenced four-port 1GbE configuration or the 10GbE configuration stated in the solicitation? SLAC Response: SLAC does not require a four-port 1GbE configuration. The required network configuration is either: (a) one 10GbE adapter with four RJ45 ports; or (b) one 10GbE adapter with two SFP+ ports and two RJ45 ports. 2. Will SLAC allow an extension so the supplier can submit firm pricing for the required 10GbE configuration? SLAC Response: Yes. The response deadline is extended to 11/02/2026. 3. What warranty term and coverage does SLAC require? Will SLAC accept either a three-year supplier-managed warranty or the manufacturer-direct Supermicro warranty? SLAC Response: Suppliers must refer to the attached E1 Fixed Price Commercial Supplies and Services Terms and Conditions and Supplemental Rider for the complete controlling warranty requirements. 4. Which drive-bay and storage configuration is required? SLAC Response: A minimal storage configuration that optimizes cost is acceptable. The required storage configuration is either no storage or one 240GB SATA drive. 5. Can the response deadline be extended to October 19 or October 23, 2026? SLAC Response: The prior requested dates have passed. The amended response deadline is 11/02/2026. 6. Is this requirement intended to be a HUBZone set-aside through an ICPT agreement? SLAC Response: No. This procurement is open competition and is not a HUBZone set-aside. 7. Please provide the complete Fixed Price Commercial Supplies and Services Terms and Conditions, Rev. August 2023. The supplier indicated that it received only the Supplemental Rider. SLAC Response: The complete General Terms and Conditions for Fixed Price Commercial Supplies and Services, Rev. August 2023, and the Supplemental Rider, Aug. 2026, are attached together in the E1 PDF. 8. What shipping address should be used to calculate freight and prepare the quotation? SLAC Response: Use the following shipping address: SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, 2575 Sand Hill Road, Menlo Park, CA 94025. 9. Have there been any updates, clarifications, or amendments to the solicitation? SLAC Response: Yes. Refer to this Amendment 01 for all current clarifications and changes. All other solicitation requirements remain unchanged. 10. Does SLAC have a California tax-exemption certificate? SLAC Response: Yes. A California tax-exemption certificate can be provided when requested. Suppliers must refer to Section 12, Tax and Buyer Exemption, of the attached E1 terms and conditions for the applicable requirements. 11. Must the E1 terms and conditions document be signed, and if so, where should the signature be placed? SLAC Response: PO should be signed both by SLAC and vendor as the official contract for this procurement. GOVBIDFIT SCREENING LENS

What deserves attention before you spend bid time

Decision support

These screening signals are generated from the public notice fields stored for this specific opportunity. They are not eligibility findings or predictions; they are prompts for a faster, more disciplined review of the official solicitation.

Active solicitation stage

This record is in a solicitation stage, so submission instructions, evaluation factors, attachments and amendments should be reviewed before a bid/no-bid decision.

Very short response window

The stored deadline is within three days. Check earlier question, site-visit and attachment requirements immediately; the final response date may not be the first deadline that matters.

No socioeconomic restriction recorded

The current feed does not show a program-specific set-aside restriction. That does not remove other eligibility, responsibility, registration or solicitation-specific requirements.

Classification signal

NAICS 334111 · PSC AG12 is the recorded classification. Use it as a screening clue, then compare the actual scope and deliverables rather than treating the code alone as proof of fit.

Notice history exists

GovBidFit stores 3 notices tied to this solicitation. Review the notice chain and official SAM.gov history because later postings can change dates, scope or instructions.
