This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 12C0BA26Q0011 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for USDA-ARS Tifton Roofing Remodel. The objective for this project is to replace aging roofing materials with identical 26 gauge (field verify) standing seam metal roofs on multiple location buildings to enhance the productivity of each building in support of USDA-ARS research mission objectives. The magnitude of this construction project is between $250,000 and $500,000. This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns. The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 238160-Roofing Contractors. The small business size standard is $19M. This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency. Bid, Performance, and Payment Bonds are required. An organized site visit has been scheduled for Thursday, September 17, 2026, at 2:00 pm Eastern Time (ET). Contractors wishing to attend the site visit must register by emailing Joel Blanchett at Joel.Blanchett@usda.gov by September 16, 2026, by 4:00 PM Eastern Time with the name(s) of attendee(s), company they are with, and company(s) they are representing. A Government issued photo ID is required for attendance. The site visit will be held for the purpose of providing contractors with the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the site, which may be helpful in the preparation of quotes. Attendance at the site visit is not mandatory for quote submission; however, failure to visit the site will not relieve or mitigate the successful contractor�s responsibility and obligation to fully comply with the terms, conditions, and specifications contained and/or referenced in this document.
