TRUST & BID SAFETY
Verify the opportunity before your team spends time bidding.
Use this checklist after finding a federal opportunity and before relying on copied dates, summaries or third-party listings. The official solicitation and its amendments remain the controlling source.
Federal notices can be amended, deadlines can move, attachments can change and similarly named solicitations can be confused. GovBidFit helps with discovery and analysis, but a bid decision should be anchored to the official notice and solicitation documents.
Your checklist selections stay in this browser. GovBidFit does not upload this verification state to a supplier profile database.

What “verified” means
Verification does not mean GovBidFit guarantees the notice is complete or unchanged. It means your team has deliberately checked the critical fields against the official issuing source instead of relying on a search result, cached copy or summary. If any critical item differs, use the official source and investigate before proceeding.
Use a two-source discipline for high-impact details
Start with the current official notice, then inspect the solicitation and amendment documents referenced by that notice. Treat deadlines, set-aside status, submission instructions and attachment requirements as high-impact details. A mismatch is a reason to stop and resolve the discrepancy, not to guess.
After verification
Once the notice is verified, use the solicitation review guide to extract requirements, the buyer research worksheet for pursuit context, and the bid deadline planner to build an internal schedule. For current demand context, browse the Federal Buyer Directory.
